Kent State is a 13.5 point underdog versus No. 15 Rutgers

Kent State will travel to take on No. 15 Rutgers this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN3. The line opened with Rutgers favored by 11.5 points but has since grown to 13.5.

Kent State has opened the season with a 6-1 record overall including 4-0 in conference play. The Golden Flashes only loss came against Kentucky on Sept. 8.

Rutgers is a perfect 7-0 this season including 4-0 in the Big East which has helped them climb to 15th in the BCS standings. The Scarlet Knights are giving up 11.3 points per game which ranks third nationally.

The Scarlet Knights are 3-0 at home this season with wins coming against Connecticut, Syracuse and Howard. Kent State has won three straight games on the road over Army, Eastern Michigan and Buffalo.

At 4-0, Kent State is tied for first place in the in the Mid-American East division with Ohio who is 7-0 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
