The Miami (Ohio) Redhawks dropped one spot to No. 4 in this week's USCHO.com poll after splitting the weekend series with Michigan.
At 4-1-1, Miami received 792 votes this week, down from the 831 points it received last week. The Redhawks did not receive a first-place vote this week after getting four last week. The drop comes after Miami lost one of its two games against then No. 6 Michigan over the weekend. The Redhawks lost 4-2 to the Wolverines on Friday before coming back with a 4-3 win on Saturday. The loss was Miami's first of the season.
The fall in the poll also breaks the Redhawks' three-week streak of rising up the ranks. After being ranked ninth in the initial poll, Miami moved up to eighth the next week. A 2-0-0 start jumped the Redhawks up to fourth in the third poll of the season. Another win bumped Miami up to No. 3 before they fell one spot this week.
Miami will attempt to rise back up the rankings with a good showing against Ferris State this weekend.
