The Kent State Golden Flashes stay on top of the MAC's East division with a 31-24 win over the Bowling Green Falcons on Saturday, clinching their spot in the MAC Championship game against the Northern Illinois Huskies on Nov. 30 in Detroit.
NIU clinched their spot with a 31-24 win over the Toledo Rockets on Wednesday. A win from Toledo would've made the race for the West division crown more interesting with both teams sitting at 6-1 if the Rockets had picked up the win.
The Ball State Cardinals sit in second in the MAC's West division with Toledo. Behind them are all the Michigan schools with the Central Michigan Chippewas in fourth, the Western Michigan Broncos in in fifth and the Eastern Michigan Eagles in last.
Bowling Green sits behind the East division champion Golden Flashes in second. The Ohio Bobcats have lost three of four games and sit in third followed by the Buffalo Bulls and Miami (OH) RedHawks. The Massachusetts Minutemen sit atop the last place Akron Zips.
