The Golden Flashes try to remain unbeaten in MAC play against the Bobcats on Friday.

Mark Zerof-US PRESSWIRE

The No. 23 Kent State Golden Flashes (10-1, 7-0) remain in control of the MAC East Division as they prepare to host the Ohio Bobcats (8-3, 4-3) on Friday at Dix Stadium.

Kent State beat Bowling Green last week to remain unbeaten in MAC play and seize control of the MAC East Division with two conference games remaining. The Golden Flashes are riding a nine-game winning streak into the game with Ohio.

The Bobcats will try to finish their MAC season on a positive note after losing three of their last four games to fall out of contention for the conference championship. Ohio will have to find a way to slow down Kent State on the ground if they want to stop the Golden Flashes. Kent State is averaging about 245 yards per game on the ground.

Kent State is favored to win the game by 10.5 points.

Kickoff between the Golden Flashes and Bobcats is set for Friday at 11:00 a.m. ET. The game will be aired on ESPNU.
