In a battle of two teams at opposite ends of the spectrum in the Mid-American Conference, the 7-1 Kent State Golden Flashes will host the 1-8 Akron Zips on Saturday afternoon in Week 10.
Despite ranking 13th in the nation in passing yards per game, Akron has not yet been able to beat a Division I opponent this season. One of four teams in the MAC still looking for their first conference win, the Zips have allowed at least 34 points in seven of their eight losses this year and continue to search for answers on both sides of the ball.
Led by the rushing duo of Trayion Durham and Dri Archer, the Golden Flashes will enter Saturday's game as one of the hottest teams in college football with six consecutive wins to their credit. The two backs combined to run wild in a pivotal win over No. 15 Rutgers in Week 9, in a game that marked the school's first win over a ranked team in program history.
