The No. 5 Miami (OH) hockey team (5-2-1) split its weekend series against the No. 18 Ferris State Bulldogs last weekend, but now the squad gets an opportunity bounce back when Northern Michigan comes to town for a weekend series.
In other local hockey action, Bowling Green will host No. 10 Western Michigan on Friday and Saturday, and Ohio State will play at home against Alaska on those same two nights.
Ohio State hasn't played a home game this season, so there should be a good atmosphere in the building when Alaska comes to town for the first of OSU's four-straight home games.
Miami (OH) slipped a spot in the rankings last week, and now they are chasing Boston College, Minnesota, Denver and Cornell.
Here is the schedule for this weekend:
Friday, Nov. 9, 2012
7:35 p.m. ET Northern Michigan at No. 5 Miami (OH)
7:05 p.m. ET Western Michigan at Bowling Green
7:05 p.m. ET Alaska at Ohio State
Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012
7:05 p.m. ET Northern Michigan at No. 5 Miami (OH)
7:05 p.m. ET Western Michigan at Bowling Green
7:05 p.m. ET Alaska at Ohio State
