The Toledo Rockets (9-3) are set to take on the Utah State Aggies (10-2) in the 2012 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Saturday, and Toledo is clearly the underdog in the matchup. The oddsmakers have listed Utah State as a double-digit favorite. The Aggies certainly don't have to travel very far -- the game will be played at Bronco Stadium in Boise, Idaho -- so the pseduo home field advantage might play into the odds as well.
Toldeo dominated during the early part of its schedule in 2012, but the team dropped two consecutive game to Ball State and Northern Illinois to drop to 8-3 before bouncing back against Akron to close out the regular season. Do the experts think that David Fluellen and Terrance Owens can pull off an upset on Saturday?
At ESPN, Will Harris has selected Utah State to win in a blowout. He thinks that Fluellen and Owens will be at less-than-100 percent for the game, so the Aggies are slated to win, 38-17. Meanwhile, a computer simulation at WhatIfSports says Utah State will pull out a 28-26 win thanks to a big day from running backs Kerwynn Williams and Joe Hill.
