The Cleveland Browns could be picking a bit later than they have been recently when the 2013 NFL Draft comes around. At 5-9, they've recently been eliminated from playoff contention, which is significant for a team expected to be eliminated much sooner.
Now, they could be picking outside of the top 10, which is a double-edged sword. On one hand, the Browns are getting better and healthier as a franchise but, on the other, they're not going to get a shot at one of the top five players in the draft this time around.
That doesn't mean they can't land a premier player. In Walter Football's latest mock draft (of many), they have the Browns at No. 8, and they have them taking Notre Dame Fighting Irish inside linebacker Manti Te'o.
Te'o came close to being the first defensive player in a long time to win the Heisman Trophy and is a big reason for Notre Dame's success this year. He'd definitely be a good addition for the Browns.
