Browns vs. Broncos, Week 16: Cleveland loss 'not fun at all'

The Browns' matchup with the Denver Broncos on Sunday had all the makings of a fun game for Cleveland fans. It was not.

The Cleveland Browns entered their matchup with the Denver Broncos on Sunday at the bottom of the AFC North and with nothing to play for.

Chris Pokorny of SB Nation's Cleveland Browns blog, Dawgs By Nature, took this game as an opportunity to watch football without any added playoff pressure, an opportunity to watch Peyton Manning and, perhaps an opportunity to have fun. Sadly, Pokorny writes, "This game wasn't fun in the very least."

It was a game full of gloom for the Browns. Manning could not be stopped, as he threw for over 300 yards and three touchdowns. Brandon Weeden wasn't awful, but the offense in general really didn't do anything...Things just didn't go Cleveland's way in general.

The Broncos jumped out ahead early on a Demaryius Thomas touchdown reception from Manning, but the Browns quickly cut into the lead with a Phil Dawson field goal. After that, it was all Denver, who eventually walked away with a 34-12 victory. Cleveland's only touchdown came on a Colt McCoy touchdown pass who entered the game after Weeden left with injury.

Next week, Cleveland takes on the division rival Pittsburgh Steelers in yet another opportunity for Browns fans to get excited. Or disappointed, depending on how you look at it.
