The No. 3 Miami (OH) RedHawks are still chasing New Hampshire and Boston College in the polls, but maybe they can make a run at those top spots with a strong weekend series against Lake Superior. Miami has won three straight contests and outscored opponents 11-2 over that span, so it may be hitting its stride.
In other local action, Ohio State takes on Robert Morris in a home-and-home series over the weekend while Bowling Green hits the road to take on Alaska. Ohio State is on the brink of breaking into the top-20, as it is tops among other teams receiving votes in the lateast USCHO poll. A strong weekend performance from them could go a long way in getting a ranking posted next to their name for next week and beyond.
Here is the schedule for this weekend:

7:05 p.m. ET Robert Morris at Ohio State
