The Cavaliers will take on the Pistons at home Saturday in a matchup of the Central Division's two worst teams. The Cavs will be without star point guard Kyrie Irving and rookie Dion Waiters for the fourth straight game. Irving has missed the last 10 games with a broken left index finger.
The Cavs (4-16) are coming off a 91-73 loss Friday to the Timberwolves, their fourth consecutive loss and 14th in their last 16 games. Alonzo Gee led the Cavs with 16 points as the remaining starters scored only 20 points. Jeremy Pargo and Daniel Gibson, who are filling in for Irving and Waiters, combined to score 10 points on 4-for-16 shooting.
The Pistons (6-15) haven't fared much better, having lost three straight. Their last victory came Monday against the Cavs, 89-79, in the first game Waiters missed with an ankle injury. Detroit lost at home Friday to the Bulls, 108-104.
