According to ESPN, the Philadelphia Eagles plan to use their franchise tag on wide receiver DeSean Jackson. Jackson had a horrible 2011 season after complaining about the state of his contract situation, even holding out through much of the offseason, or whatever was left of it after the lockout.
↵Jackson was a potential target for the Cleveland Browns at wide receiver in free agency, as are all big play guys on the open market. He will now be getting paid a lot of money guaranteed while the Eagles try to work out a long-term extension, which is obviously something they are still interested in even after Jackson’s antics this past year.
