The Ohio State Buckeyes Lacrosse team is one of the 20 best lacrosse clubs in the country according to all of the polls, though they're nowhere near the supremacy that the Big East teams like Virginia and Syracuse bring to the table.
According to the Nike Division I poll, the Buckeyes are 16th in the nation, while the USILA Division I Coaches Poll puts the Buckeyes down at 17th, as reported by NCAA.com.
Ohio State were the 30th best team in the nation when it came to scoring last year, putting in just a touch under ten goals a game at 9.38. Their defense was sparking, however, only allowed a bit over eight goals per game against them at an 8.06 average. The Buckeyes went 8-8 last season with no tournament berth, if they can keep their good defending this season they might manage to make it in for 2012.
