The Dayton Flyers are looking to make some noise in this year's Atlantic 10 tournament after some great basketball has left them with an 18-10 overall record and 8-6 in conference. They still have two games to go, against the Richmond Spiders and the George Washington Colonials, and can finish a lot higher with a little bit of luck on their side.
Currently the Flyers are in seventh place of the conference, and with the conference tournament coming up starting on March 6 they'll want to get as high as seed as they possibly can.
The tournament layout would currently have Dayton playing the tenth seeded Richmond Spiders in the first round, with the winner taking on the second ranked Saint Louis Billikens. There's still plenty of basketball to be played of course, so Dayton will want to get one of those byes in the tourney if at all possible. And if not, they can practice against Richmond this week for a possible rematch in the tournament.
