Horizon League Tournament 2012: Friday Game Times And Bracket Updates

The Horizon League Tournament continues Friday night at Valparaiso with second round matchups between No.3 Detroit and No. 6 Youngstown State and No. 4 Milwaukee and No. 5 Butler.

Valparaiso will host the second and semifinal rounds because it won the regular season conference championship with a 14-4 record. The Crusaders have earned a double-by to the semifinal round along with the No. 2-seeded Cleveland State Vikings.

Cleveland State will face the winner of Detroit and Youngstown State, while Valparaiso hosts the winner of Milwaukee and Butler. Last season, Butler defeated Milwaukee 59-44 in the championship game to receive the Horizon League's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Butler's magical run ended in the 2011 NCAA Tournament Championship Game, where the Bulldogs fell to the UConn Huskies, 53-41.

This season, the Horizon League appears to be a one-bid league, so the tournament should be fiercely contested.
