MAC Tournament 2012: Bracket, Schedule And More

The No. 3 seed Ohio Bobcats took down the No. 2 seed Buffalo Bulls 77-74 to advance to the 2012 MAC tournament final on Saturday night. The MAC championship game will also be a battle for Ohio bragging rights as the Bobcats take on the No. 1 seed Akron Zips.

The Zips took care of business on Friday night by beating the No. 4 seed Kent State Golden Flashes. As you can see from the updated MAC Tournament bracket, the Zips took advantage of their top seed and automatic spot in the semifinals while Ohio built on their quarterfinal win to get past Buffalo.

Akron and Ohio played twice during the MAC regular season schedule, with each team earning a win on their home court.

The MAC championship game with an automatic NCAA Tournament bid on the line is slated to tip at 8:00 p.m. ET from Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland and be televised on ESPN2.
