Atlantic-10 Tournament 2012, Xavier Vs. St. Bonaventure Final Score: Bonnies Beat Musketeers 67-56, Receive Automatic Bid As Tournament Champs

The St. Bonaventure Bonnies are going dancing, receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament as the Atlantic-10 tournament champions. The Bonnies defeated the Musketeers in Sunday's championship game by a score of 67-56. It's the Bonnies first ever Atlantic-10 conference title.

Xavier never recovered from a poor first half that saw them down 13 at the break. They made a run in the second half to pull as close as five points, but couldn't completely close the gap.

St. Bonaventure senior forward Andrew Nicholson led the way with 26 points, 14 rebounds, and eight blocks.

Xavier only shot 33-percent and were just 2-for-13 from long distance. Despite the loss, they are still expected to make the tournament with an at large bid:

The fourth conference championship of Sunday sees St. Bonaventure looking to pop someone's bubble, as the Bonnies can earn the Atlantic 10's automatic bid by defeating Xavier (1 p.m. ET, CBS). The Musketeers must be now considered safe after they knocked off Saint Louis in the semifinals yesterday.
