2012 NIT Tournament Schedule And Bracket: Cleveland State Bounced From NIT With First Round Loss To Stanford

The first day of the NIT is in the books, and all three Ohio teams were bounced from the tournament. Cleveland State, which traveled across the country to face Stanford, lost 75-65 in Palo Alto in a late night game that wrapped up a long evening of college basketball. The Viking season mercifully came to an end, as they hobbled off the floor.

Trey Harmon injured his right knee and did not play in the second half and star guard D'Aundray Brown was severely limited yet again with the groin injury that sent the Vikings season spiraling downwards and out of the NCAA tournament. In his final game, senior Jeremy Montgomery like the Vikes with 15 points but that Gary Waters simply did not have enough firepower on the offensive end to advance to the second round. Stanford moves on and will face the winner of Illinois State and Ole Miss, which tips off this evening. You can find a complete schedule for Day 2 below:
