NCAA Tournament 2012: Loyola Enters Tonight Confident, Doesn't Think Ohio State Is Very Deep

The Ohio State Buckeyes begin their road to the Final Four tonight in Pittsburgh against the Loyola Greyhounds. The Buckeyes are favored by 17 points against the overmatched No. 15 seeded Hounds. But don't tell that to the wacky Jimmy Patsos and his mid-major club from Baltimore. The MAAC Tournament Champions aren't lacking confidence, as evidenced by senior Shane Walker's comments yesterday. The senior from across the pond was open yesterday, telling reporters that he doesn't think the heavily favored Buckeyes are very deep and that the aptly named Greyhounds can "run them."

Full quote from Walker after the jump, via Doug Lesmerises of The Plain Dealer:

"They're not very deep," Loyola senior forward Shane Walker said Wednesday as his team prepared to open the NCAA Tournament today against the Buckeyes. "I feel like we can run them."

It's certainly an interesting take that will get the attention of Thad Matta, Aaron Craft, and Jared Sullinger's crew.
