Gonzaga Vs. West Virginia Final Score: Zags Beat Mountaineers 77-54, Await Buckeyes

The No. 7 seed Gonzaga Bulldogs served notice they are prepared to make a run in the NCAA tournament with an impressive 77-54 win over the No. 10 seed West Virginia Mountaineers.

In front of a pro-West Virginia crowd in Pittsburgh, the Zags kept things quiet with a 20-4 first half run that buried the Mountaineers. Gonzaga then expanded a 16-point halftime lead to 26 points early in the second half and then never let the Mountaineers mount a rally.

Gonzaga used a balanced attack to take down West Virginia with four starters scoring in double figures, led by center Robert Sacre's 14 points and six rebounds. Guard Kevin Pangos added 13 points and five assists for the Zags. Gary Browne led West Virginia off the bench with 15 points.

Gonzaga now awaits the winner of the No. 1 seed Ohio State vs. No. 16 seed Loyola (Md.) in Thursday's late game from Pittsburgh.
