The Cincinnati Bearcats lead the Texas Longhorns 31-17 after one half in Nashville. The Longhorns had a season low for points in the first half, and had just two points on the board through the first 12 and a half minutes of the game. Texas picked it up slightly in the second half, and the Bearcats did not really take full advantage of the woeful offensive start by the Horns.

Sean Kilpatrick and Yancy Gates lead the Bearcats on the offensive end, scoring eight points each. Kilpatrick finally got going from outside and drilled a corner three-pointer late in the second half to add to the double digit lead. Gates has done his work down low where you would expect, hitting four of eight shots while also grabbing six boards against the Longhorn front line.
