March Madness Bracket 2012, Cincinnati Vs. Texas Final Score: Bearcats Advance With 65-59 Win

Friday marks the second day of games in the Round of 64. The 2012 NCAA Tournament is not lacking in drama, by any stretch of the imagination. In one of Friday's afternoon games, the No. 6 seed Cincinnati Bearcats took on the No. 11 seed Texas Longhorns. The Bearcats were out to prove that their appearance and high seeding in the tournament was no mere fluke, while Texas was hoping to pull off the upset and advance to the Round of 32. In the end, Cincinnati was able to pick up the 65-59 win and advance.

The game remained close right down to the final minutes, as Texas pulled even, 52-52 with just over three minutes left in regulation. The Bearcats quickly bounced back and put up back-to-back buckets in the next 90 seconds to pull ahead again, 56-52. UC maintained their four-point lead into the final seconds, as Texas was forced to resort to the foul game. It didn't pay off to the Longhorns and they took the elimination loss.

Cincinati forward Yancy Gates had a big game, picking up a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
