March Madness 2012, Gonzaga Vs. Ohio State Score Update: Buckeyes Hold 2-Point Halftime Lead On Bulldogs, 39-37

The No. 2 seeded Ohio State Buckeyes are facing the No. 7 seeded Gonzaga Bulldogs in the Round of 32 for the right to play next weekend in Boston in the Sweet 16. In a first half that saw nine lead changes, the Buckeyes came out of the first 20 minutes on top, 39-37.

The first 30 seconds of the game saw Gonzaga and Ohio State trading buckets -- a two-point jumper for the Bulldogs answered with a three by Jared Sullinger -- and the rest of the first half played out in similar fashion. Ohio State finished the half shooting a scorching 62-percent, though, while Gonzaga was 44-percent.

Buckeyes' forward Deshaun Thomas led all scorers with 12 points off the bench, including five baskets in a row in the final five minutes of the half. We have video of those here:

The Bulldogs hung in there, though, forcing Sullinger to the bench with foul trouble and getting nine points from Sam Dower off the bench.

The second half is lining up for a typical March Madness finish, so tune into CBS.
