The No. 10 seed Xavier Musketeers look to continue their late-season success when they face the No. 15 seed Lehigh Mountain Hawks for a spot in the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16.
This unexpected South Region matchup has both teams thinking big with the No. 3 seed Baylor Bears waiting to play the winner in the Regional semifinal in Atlanta on Friday. Xavier needed a late season run in the Atlantic 10 tournament to earn an invite to the Big Dance and then took advantage by beating Notre Dame 67-63 in their opening game. Guard Tu Holloway makes the Musketeers go and he came up big against the Fighting Irish with 25 points.
Lehigh became the tournament darling as the underdog Mountain Hawks knocked off the No. 2 seed Duke Blue Devils in Greensboro, North Carolina. Lehigh just wouldn't relent as the pressure continued to mount throughout their upset bid as junior guard C.J. McCollum had arguably the tournament's most impressive performance thus far with 30 points, six assists and six rebounds.
The two teams are back in Greensboro Coliseum on Sunday looking to advance. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:45 p.m. Eastern and will be televised on truTV.
