The 'Elite Eight' of the NIT is just about set, and there will be no Ohio squads taking part after all three involved got dumped from the tournament in the first round.
Only three games are left to be played to determine the last couple of spots in the quarterfinals with Tennessee being the last No. 1 seed left to play a game, hoping they can get through to the semifinals for a possible showdown with Washington, the only other No. 1 seed left in the tournament. Meanwhile, Nevada are waiting for their opponent, the winner of the late Stanford and Illinois State match-up.
Here's the games left to play Monday in the NIT:
No. 1 Tennessee vs. No. 4 Middle Tennessee - 7:00 p.m. ET
No. 2 Miami vs. No. 6 Minnesota - 9:00 p.m. ET
No. 3 Stanford vs. No. 7 Illinois State - 11:30 p.m. ET
