Guard Daniel Gibson will likely miss the rest of the regular season for the Cleveland Cavaliers with a torn tendon in his ankle, not the news they were hoping for as injuries continue to tear the team up in what is quickly turning into a lost season. On Friday, the Cavs signed Lester Hudson out of the D-League's Austin Toros to a 10 day contract in order to provide some more much needed depth in their backcourt.
A former second round pick in 2009/2010, Hudson has played games with the Boston Celtics, Memphis Grizzlies and Washington Wizards in short bursts throughout his career. He has averaged 17.6 points per game for the Toros so far this year.
Hudson will be available to play for the team as early as Friday night's game against Milwaukee in Cleveland.
