The Kent State Golden Flashes defeated the Western Michigan Broncos by a score of 76-72 in the MAC Tournament in Cleveland on Friday night. The Golden Flashes now advances to the conference semifinals to face the No. 1 seeded Akron Zips, who they lost to in the regular season in both of their matchups.
The Golden Flashes were led by Justin Greene, who scored 23 points against the Broncos. Randal Holt also chipped in 13 points, and Chris Evans came off the bench to add 13. The Broncos were led by Demetrius Ward, who scored 16 points, Flenard Whitfield who added 14 points and Nate Hutcheson, who came off the bench to chip in 13.
