The threat of inclement weather has postponed the second of a three-game series between the Cleveland Indians and Chicago White Sox on Tuesday night. The team has not announced when they will reschedule, but the speculation is that the teams will make it up when Chicago is back in Cleveland the first week of May.
The postponement means each team will have to adjust their rotations accordingly. The Indians have already determined how they will do that:
Wed., April 11 vs. Chicago-AL (12:05PM ET, WTAM/IRN, STO)
RHP Justin Masterson (0-0, 1,13) vs. LHP John Danks (0-1, 4.50)
Thurs., April 12 – OFF DAY
Fri., April 13 at Kansas City (4:10PM ET, WTAM/IRN, STO)
RHP Derek Lowe (1-0, 0.00) vs. RHP Luke Hochevar (1-0, 2.48)
Sat., April 14 at Kansas City (7:10PM ET, WTAM/IRN, WKYCTV3/STO)
RHP Jeanmar Gomez vs. LHP Jonathan Sanchez (1-0, 3.60)
Sun., April 15 at Kansas City (2:10PM ET, WTAM/IRN, WKYCTV3/STO)
RHP Ubaldo Jimenez (0-0, 2.57) vs. RHP Luis Mendoza
Skipper Manny Acta says Jeanmar Gomez will take Josh Tomlin's spot in the rotation and Ubaldo Jimenez will get pushed back to Sunday. Tomlin will probably pitch out of the bullpen before rejoining the rotation on April 19 at Seattle.
The Cleveland Indians lost the opener to the White Sox, 4-2.
