The Cleveland Indians struggled to score runs against Los Angeles Angles' right-hander Dan Haren, losing a 2-1 decision on a blustery night that favored the pitchers over hitters. On Sunday, the Indians will look to crank up the offense and beat the Angels to add to their win on Friday to take the weekend series.
Cleveland will turn to veteran right-hander Derek Lowe (3-1) to slow down the Angles' offense which is still looking to break out with Albert Pujols. Lowe is coming off of a win over Kansas City in his last outing when he spread out eight hits over six innings and allowed just one run.
The Angels will counter with right-hander Ervin Santana (0-4). Like the Angels offense, Santana has struggled mightily in his first four starts, no only losing all four but also mounting a 7.23 ERA along the way. Santana certainly isn't getting any help as the Los Angeles offense hasn't scored a run in Santana's last three starts.
Despite losing three of their last four games, Cleveland holds a percentage points lead in the Central Division over Detroit. The Tigers won on Saturday after losing five in a row.
The game is scheduled to start at 1:05 p.m. ET and will be televised on SportsTime Ohio.
