For one moment late in his second nine, Jason Dufner solely led The Masters at six-under par. Dufner had a solid second round, and capitalized on the birdie chance at the par-five 13th on the second nine at Augusta National Golf Club. He then followed that up with a nice streak, including a birdie on the par-four uphill 14th hole, and a birdie on the famous par-three 16th hole over water. He dropped a shot on the tough par-four 18th hole but he's currently the clubhouse leader with a two-round score of five-under.
Veteran and Senior Tour player Fred Couples is currently tied with Dufner at five-under but he's in trouble on the final hole. Sergio Garcia and Rory McIlroy are also making a charge and are tied at five-under. Tiger Woods is still on the first nine and is one-under for the day. Conditions are very windy right now for the afternoon groups, although it is ten degrees warmer than the chilly conditions this morning. At one point, Dufner had a winter hat on during his round but the Cleveland native is in prime position heading into the weekend.
