Ohio State's DeShaun Thomas Will Return To School For His Junior Year

Ohio State forward DeShaun Thomas will return to Ohio State for his junior year as a Buckeye, head coach Thad Matta announced Friday afternoon.

"DeShaun, his family and our coaching staff have spent the last week evaluating his future," Matta said. "DeShaun determined he wants to remain a Buckeye. We are looking forward to building on the success our team enjoyed in 2011-12 with Deshaun playing a significant role next year."

After Jared Sullinger's decision to enter the NBA Draft, DeShaun Thomas is the Buckeyes leading returning scorer, having averaged 15.9 points per game. Thomas also averaged 5.4 rebounds while shooting 52% from the field.

Ohio State went all the way to the Final Four, succumbing to Kansas in the national semifinal.
