Johnny Damon Will Make Indians Debut On Wednesday, Hit Leadoff

Johnny Damon was officially added to the Cleveland Indians' roster on Tuesday after signing with the club a couple weeks ago for a little over $1 million which includes performance-based incentives. Although Damon is not in the lineup on Tuesday night against the White Sox, he will be in the lineup on Wednesday and he will be the team's new leadoff hitter:

The left-handed hitter was with the Tampa Bay Rays last season and hit .261/.326/.743 with 16 home runs. For what it's worth, the Indians' current leadoff hitter, Michael Brantley, is hitting .250/.321/.676.

The Indians have a one game lead in the Central Division after the first month of the season.
