Indians Lose Asdrubal Cabrera, Carlos Santana To Injury On Friday Night

A lopsided showing against the Chicago White Sox was not the worst thing to happen to the Cleveland Indians on Friday night. The Indians lost both SS Asdrubal Cabrera and C Carlos Santana to injuries during the game.

Cabrera was removed from the game with tightness in his hamstring, according to Jordan Bastian. No additional information was available at the time.

Santana left in the eighth inning after being hit hard in the facemask by an Alex Rios foul ball. The seriousness of his injury is also unknown at this time.

Injuries have taken a toll on the Tribe lately. Travis Hafner did not make the trip with the team. Jack Hannahan is out with a sore back.
