2012 Kentucky Derby Video: Watch I'll Have Another Pick Up The Win

I'll Have Another is your winner for the 138th running of the Kentucky, making a late run to overtake Bodemeister for the win. It was the first time a horse has won the Derby starting from the 19th gate. Bodemeister was one of the pre-race favorites and had a five-length lead at one point, but heading around the back-stretch, I'll Have Another started to gain and took the lead to win by half a length.

It was also the first ever Kentucky Derby victory for trainer Doug O'Neill and jockey Mario Gutierrez. Favorite Union Rags wasn't in the top three around the back stretch, as Trinniberg and Hansen were among the other horses that I'll Have Another passed near the end.

Below, we've got video of the running. You can see I'll Have Another take the victory right there at the end - getting half a length ahead as Bodemeister's jockey pushed and pushed. An exciting finish to be sure.
