The Kent State Golden Flashes looked primed and poised to be the first MAC team to make it to Omaha for the College World Series since 1976 in strong fashion, but faltered a little when their 21 game winning streak was snapped by the Oregon Ducks in game two of their series. The 3-2 loss didn't kill the Golden Flashes' chances though, they will still have a shot to win the series on Monday in the deciding Game 3 of their series.
Both game one and game two have been very close affairs, with Oregon almost taking the first game except for a great catch in the ninth inning, and it was only a bad seventh inning featuring two errors that lost the one run game two for Kent State. With a trip to Omaha on the line, both teams will need to be at their best since a single mistake could win Game 3.
