2012 US Open Update: Jason Dufner Still 2-Over

Jason Dufner is with the struggling crowd of golfers fighting for contention at Day 1 of the 2012 U.S. Open. Dufner, the Cleveland native most recently bogeyed on 12 and 16.

Michael Thompson leads the field with a 4-under par score of 66. A crowd of golfers are behind him at 1-under, a group that includes Tiger Woods and Rickie Fowler.

Reigning 2011 U.S. Open champion Rory McIlroy is struggling quite a bit, sitting at +4 through 14 holes. Phil Mickelson is has been the most disappointing story of the star players so far, having gone 6-over par with a score 76 in the first round.
