The second round of the 2012 U.S. Open will take place over yet another full day, with players teeing off just after 7 a.m. local time and play continuing almost until sundown. It's the toughest test in golf and the USGA allows time for broadcast of almost all the carnage. ESPN will start the broadcast before handing things off to NBC, whose coverage is led by analyst and Olympic member Johnny Miller. The broadcast is scheduled to run until 10 p.m. ET on ESPN, but slower play pushed the coverage well past that on Thursday.
If you're stuck in the office and unable to watch on television, USOpen.com will once again provide live streaming of two marquee groups both in the morning and afternoon waves. The morning stream will follow the group of Jim Furyk, Sergio Garcia, and Graeme McDowell. Both Furyk and McDowell are former U.S. Open Champions and two of the six players under par after the first round. The afternoon marquee group stream will of course follow Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Bubba Watson at 4:18 p.m. ET. You can find a full schedule of and links to the live stream broadcasts here at USOpen.com.
