U.S. Open Cut 2012: Bubba Watson, Rory McIlroy Out After Two Rounds

The cut line at the 2012 U.S. Open claimed a few notable casualties on Friday, following the second round of play on the tough links at the Olympic Club in San Francisco. The cut line fell at 8-over. This year Masters champion Bubba Watson is out as is Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson and Casey Martin.

Watson shot a 71 in the second round, but it was not enough to overcome a 78 in the first round. McIlroy was better on Friday with a 73. He finished at 10-over following a 77 in the first round. Martin finished at 9-over after struggling on the front nine.

The top 60 players after the second round make the cut.
