U.S. Open 2012: Jason Dufner Still In The Hunt, Tied For 9th

After shooting a 1-under par on Friday at the U.S. Open, Cleveland native Jason Dufner is in position to make a run at the title so long as the field scores remain as sporadic as they've been the last two days.

At 3-over for the tournament, Dufner is tied for ninth place with eight other golfers, while Tiger Woods, Jim Furyk and David Tomas are all tied atop the leaderboard with 1-under par scores for the tournament.

Early in the U.S. Open we saw Phil Mickelson, defending Open champion Rory McIlroy, 2012 Masters champion Bubba Watson among other well-known players struggle with high scores at Olympic in San Francisco.

Dufner appears to be staying the course, and is so far a survivor of what's been a difficult outing this weekend. He'll tee off Saturday at 2:15 p.m.
