2012 U.S. Open Golf Leaderboard: Two Ohio Golfers Finish Early

A total of five golfers from the Cleveland area are taking part in this weekend's U.S. Open, and Saturday's Third Round saw two golfer's already finished after missing the cut. Cincinnati's Jim Herman finished 10 over par on Friday to miss the cut. Dennis Miller, who played collegiately at Youngstown State, finished Friday at 22 over par. Neither played on Saturday.

Among Saturday's Ohio golfers:

  • Joe Ogilvie from Lancaster, Ohio finished the day at six over par for a total of 14 over for the weekend. among the golfers that made the cut Ogilvie is second to last, leading only Stephen Ames by two strokes.
  • Jason Day, who resides in Columbus part time, was also six over for the day and is now 12 over for the tournament. He is also near the bottom of the golfers that made the cut.
  • Jason Dufner, a Cleveland native, was at even par for the day through 14 holes and was still somewhat in contention for the title. Dufner is three over for the tournament and is four strokes behind leader Jim Furyk.
