It looks like Tiger Woods' quest to reclaim his mojo as the sport's best player will have to wait until later this summer. That's because Woods, who entered Sunday's final round at the Olympic Club just five strokes off the lead, completely collapsed over his first few holes to drop significantly off the pace and well out of contention.
Woods started off with a pair of bogeys on the first two holes to drop to 6-over for the tournament, then proceeded to double bogey the par-3 third hole in embarrassing fashion. Bogeys on No. 5 and No. 6 followed next for the former world No. 1, as he officially dropped all the way down to 10-over and 11 strokes off the lead.
With par looking like the winning score by round's end, the final duo of Graeme McDowell and Jim Furyk remain in a deadlocked tie for the lead as they approach the tee box at No. 3. Five players, including Ernie Else, remain at least four strokes behind and well within striking distance.
