College World Series 2012: Kent State Takes On South Carolina In Only Wednesday Game

It will be a somewhat quiet day for the College World Series on Wednesday, with only one game. It's a big one though, as the South Carolina Gamecocks (46-18) try to push themselves back up after being flattened by Arkansas and get back to the finals, where they've taken home the title two years in a row now.

Facing elimination, the Gamecocks will take on a surprisingly spry Kent State Golden Flashes (47-19) team who were able to overcome the best team in the nation, the Florida Gators, in their last elimination game after also being beaten by the Razorbacks.

Whoever wins the elimination match-up will get the right to take on Arkansas again on Thursday in the semifinal.

The game will be at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha at 8:00 p.m. ET. It is being broadcast nationally on ESPN.
