Defensive Tackle Michael Hill Commits To Ohio State Buckeyes

It's been awhile since we've had any big recruiting news for the Ohio St. Buckeyes. Despite issues with bowl games for the upcoming season, players bought into the Urban Meyer system early on, but things have gone predictably quiet for all schools. That's changed as of Tuesday, when Darron Lee committed to Ohio State, as per Land-Grant Holy Land:

"Urban Nation" lands a 6'1", 205 lb athlete who runs a 40 at a reported 4.64 seconds. The New Albany, Ohio product projects by most to defensive back and is a consensus 3-star talent by all the major recruiting services.

But Wednesday, even bigger news came out. The landing of Lee is a solid one, but the bigger news is .. bigger in more ways than one. According to Ryan Bartow of Rivals, with a H/T to SB Nation, 4-star defensive tackle Michael Hill has committed to the Buckeyes as well.

Hill, from Pendleton (SC), is the No. 1 recruit in South Carolina. He's 6'2'' and checks in at 315 pounds, and is one of the top-30 defensive line recruits (taking both tackles and ends into consideration). He's a major commitment for Meyer's Buckeyes, where he'll likely play the nose guard position. He joins Bill Price as the second defensive tackle of the 2013 class.
