Indians Vs. Tigers: Cleveland Drops Series Finale After Derek Lowe Falters

The Cleveland Indians were unable to complete the sweep over the Detroit Tigers as starting pitcher Derek Lowe gave up four runs in the first inning and seven runs overall. Despite a late rally, Cleveland fell to Detroit, 7-5.

Lowe left the game after five innings with his team trailing, 7-1. He allowed nine hits and gave up a home run to Miguel Cabrera in the fifth inning.

Cleveland scored two runs in both the sixth and the seventh inning to make the game close, but it could not overcome the deficit.

Both Jose Lopez and Asdrubal Cabrera had two RBI in a losing effort.

The Indians are now 30-26 and will travel to St. Louis for an interleague series this weekend.
