The Kent State Golden Flashes are having an extremely strong postseason, having won the Gary Regional through a crazy series of games. There was a 21-inning game for one, and then there was the strong outing against Kentucky on Sunday night, when Evan Campbell hit a three-run homerun in the top of the eighth inning to break a 0-0 game and Kent State eventually walked away with a 3-2 win.
Casey Williams pitched the final six outs to send the Flashes to the Super Regionals, where they're going to be taking on the Oregon Ducks. Kent State is now on a 20-game winning streak and it's their first appearance in an NCAA Super Regional. The Ducks are hosting their first Super Regional since the program was reinstated in 2009, and for the first time since 1954. Both teams are pretty evenly matched and it should be an exciting one.
