There has not been a Triple Crown winner in the world of horse racing since way back in 1978 when Affirmed won the three biggest American horse races. Unfortunately, the bid by I'll Have Another in 2012 to win the crown appears to be over before the Belmont Stakes has even been run.
Early on Friday, rumors started to swirl about I'll Have Another possibly needing to miss the Belmont Stakes because of an undisclosed problem. Later, those rumors were confirmed by the Dan Patrick show on Twitter; I'll Have Another is indeed out of the running at Belmont.

According to HRTV reporter Scott Hazelton, here will be an official press conference regarding I'll Have Another at 1:00 p.m. ET. No word is out on what caused I'll Have Another to drop out or what horse will take his place yet.
