Eager to swing a deal in the coming days, the Cleveland Cavaliers are exploring a trade that would send free agent forward Antawn Jamison to the Brooklyn Nets according to Yahoo! Sports' Marc Spears.

Jamison, who would head to the Nets in a sign-and-trade since he is currently without a contract, is a 36-year-old NBA veteran who has played the better part of the last three seasons in Cleveland. After announcing that he planned to seek out a new destination this summer, the Cavs have been trying to swing a deal that included Jamison's signature in order to maximize his value.
And with the Nets already locking up center Brook Lopez on a four-year deal to signify the end of the Dwight Howard saga in Brooklyn, a player like Jamison could be a solid fit in the bright lights of New York. In addition to the Nets, Charlotte and Golden State are each also in the mix for Jamison's services, which makes the possibility of a deal in the near future seem much more viable.
