Browns Claim DT Ronnie Cameron Off Waivers

The Cleveland Browns are trying to get better wherever possible and, on Monday, that wherever became the defensive line. The Browns were one of five teams to claim defensive tackle Ronnie Cameron and, in the end, they were awarded the undrafted free agent.

Cameron was recently waived by the Chicago Bears after going undrafted following his career at Old Dominion, but that didn't stop four other teams from attempting to claim the former AP Second Team All-American (the Browns were awarded him by way of having the worst 2011 record).

In fact, that alone is the reason that the experts over at Dawgs By Nature have extra expectations for the Browns' newest player.

The thing that stands out immediately? Despite being an undrafted free agent, five teams put in a waiver claim for the guy, so he might not be your average "scrub." That might also make it more difficult for him to be stashed on the practice squad, considering the interest in him.

While trying to stash Cameron on the practice squad might seem a likely option, there's always the chance he impresses Cleveland enough to make the 53-man roster.
