When cornerback Dimitri Patterson went down in the second quarter of the Browns first preseason game against the Detroit Lions, the play of seventh round pick Trevin Wade went under the microscope as he took over as the team's starting nickel back in practice.
According to Nate Ulrich of Akron Beacon Journal, Wade returned to practice on Friday after being carted off the field in the fourth quarter of Thursday's preseason game against the Green Bay Packers. Browns head coach Pat Shurmur told reporters that Wade was carted off the field for "soreness."
Also returning to practice on Friday was defensive end Frostee Rucker who missed a week of practice and Thursday's game against the Packers with an undisclosed right knee injury.
