Browns CB Joe Haden Reportedly Failed Drug Test, Facing Possible 4-Game Suspension

One of the most promising young defensive backs in football, Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden may be facing a possible NFL suspension after failing a drug test according to ESPN Cleveland.

The report indicates at least one source saying that Haden tested positive for Adderall during a routine off-season test, which is a drug classified as a banned stimulant by the league. If the original test results are deemed to be positive on a second test that will soon be administered, then Haden will be officially suspended for the opening four games of the Browns' 2012 campaign by the league.

Although he was reportedly notified of the results, Haden, his representatives, and league officials did not comment on the situation on Tuesday after the Browns' practice. While he still has the option to appeal the decision, recent history is clearly not working on Haden's side, as Giants safety Tyler Sash was recently suspended four games for the exact same thing.
